Off-MLS listings, also known as pocket listings, generally refer to listings that are withheld from being listed in MLS for a specified period of time or entirely. Although there are many legitimate circumstances that could warrant this practice, Agents and Sellers should be aware of the potential risks and legal liability that could result. We strongly encourage MLS members to review the following Article entitled “Law & Policy: Professionalism and pocket listing” from the National Association of Realtors®.

For the purpose of Metro MLS, all listing Agents who wish to exclude listings from MLS must submit the necessary MLS Exclusion Authorization form along with the listing contract to Metro MLS within 48 hours.
