As office administrators responsible for managing your office’s listings, Metro MLS felt it was important to inform you of the updates coming mid-February. All members were sent an initial Flex Tip regarding the upcoming changes on December 27th, 2012. As the go-live date draws closer, members and administrative staff will continue to receive weekly notifications via Flex Tips with more details. Please review the 12/27/2012 and 1/11/2013 Flex Tips before reading further.
IMPORTANT: Go-live is tentatively scheduled for February 12th. If editing an existing listing (a listing created before 2/12) after the updates have been installed, FlexMLS will REQUIRE entry of the new required fields before you can save any changes. Make sure your listing agents have this information ready before editing listings. Additionally, the new non–required information may be entered.
For new listings, new required data will include:
- Est. Acreage
- Source Acreage
- Electronic Consent Y/N
- Full Baths Main (previously Full Baths)
- Half Baths Main (previously Half Baths)
- Est. Year Built
- Source Year Built
- Est. Total Sq Ft
- Source Total Sq Ft
- Fin Above Grade Sq Ft
- Source Above Gr Sq Ft
New non-required fields include:
- Water Front Footage
- Source Water Frontage
- Full Baths Upper
- Half Baths Upper
- Full Baths Lower
- Half Baths Lower
- Fin Below Grade Sq Ft
- Source Below Grade Sq Ft
We are currently in the process of updating documentation including the property profile sheets. The ‘NEW’ profile sheets are available online under Forms and Rules. The Summary of Changes form lists the updated fields for all property types (except Residential Rental). It can be used with the profile sheets to enter new listings or on their own to update existing listings. As updates become available, they will be sent as a Flex Tip to your office’s administration e-mail address. Below is a list of links for resources regarding the updates.
